As from listed below, the space saver spare wheel will be fitted to Citi Golf models as standard equipment.

It must be stressed that it is of the utmost importance that the specified tyre pressure of 420 Kpa is maintained.

It must be noted that the spare wheel well can still accommodate the standard size spare wheel.

On these new wheels the semi-spherical contact surface for the wheel bolts has been increased in diameter. For this reason the new wheels may only be secured with the new wheel bolts ( M 12 x 1.5 x 24).

Wheel bolt identification:

Castellated head

Tightening torque: 110 Nm

• ‒ Using the new wheel bolts on previous type steel or alloy wheels is not permitted for reasons of safety, as the security of the wheels is not guaranteed even if the bolts are tightened to the prescribed torque.

Service installation

The new wheels can be service installed on the following vehicles, in conjunction with the new bolts.

• Vehicles which are equipped with the VW Mk. II brake calipers.
• Vehicles which have 10 mm thick brake discs and 10 mm thick pads regardless of the type of brake caliper (Messrs. Girling or Teves).

Changed tyre size for Golf GTI - Special model (from 7.83)

→ The Golf GTI Special model differs from the GTI Basic model in that it has 6 J x 14 (Offset 38 mm) alloy wheels and 185/60 R 14 82 H tyres. The bolts are the normal M 12 x 1.5 x 24 type for alloy wheels.
