Note:

The work sequence is dependent upon the programme level of the Digifant control unit. Programme level number , connecting fault reader V.A.G 1551 and selecting engine electronics control unit.

  • ‒ Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 and select engine electronics control unit (address word 01); selection is carried out with engine idling.
    => Page 01-3

  • ‒ Input 08 for "Read measured value block" function and confirm with Q.
 
→ Indicated on display:

Input display group number XX
 
→ Up to programme level number 1083

  • ‒ Input 03 for display group 03 and confirm with Q.
 
→ Indicated on display:

Read measured value block 3     ⇒
     1     2     3     4

Note:

If something different is indicated on the display:

=> Fault reader operating instructions

  • ‒ Note intake air temperature figure in display zone 3.

  • ‒ → Lift air filter upper part, spray intake air temperature sender (G42) with commercial refrigerant spray and observe temperature reading. Temperature must
         drop.
  • ‒ Press ⇒ key.
  • ‒ In put 06 for "End output" and confirm with Q.

If the temperature figure does not change:

  • ‒ Carry out electrical check, test step 11
    => Page 01-18 , if necessary renew air flow meter with intake air temperature sender (G42) and perform idling check.
