• ‒ → Position rack in steering box so that the projection left and right (dimension -a-) is identical. Measured from the housing shoulder to the face of the rack.

• ‒ → Screw lock nuts fully onto rack. Screw track rods on until dimension -b- 70.5 mm is attained.

Measure from housing shoulder to ball joint shoulder.

Checking track rod length and if necessary adjusting.

• ‒ → Check dimension "a" on left-hand track rod and if necessary adjust.

Dimension "a" = 435 ± 1 mm

• ‒ Screw on track rod and lock.

Notes:

• ◆ Only adjust track on right-hand track rod.
• ◆ If the track rod ball joint is to be removed from the left-hand track rod, dimension "a" must be reset when refitting. Also before installing new left-hand track rod check dimension "a" and if necessary adjust
