Revised track rod ball joints
The manufacturing process for the track rod ball joints has been optimised. The outer shape and the length of the threaded shaft have changed.
It was necessary to modify the track rods to match the track rod ball joints, → Chapter.
Introduction will be gradual.
The revised track rod ball joints have the following distinguishing features.
   
A - Right track rod ball joint
1 - Hexagon on threaded shaft, 19 mm across flats
   Dimension -a-: 94± 0.5 mm
   Marked: “A” for right.
B - Left track rod ball joint
1 - Hexagon on threaded shaft, 19 mm across flats
   Dimension -a-: 94± 0.5 mm
   Marked: “B” for left.

Distinguishing features of previous track rod ball joints
1 - Face for spanner on shaft, marked “R” or “L”, 22 mm across flats
   Dimension -a- = 74 -1 mm
   The shaft -arrow- is round
  Caution
This track rod ball joint must not be fitted to a track rod which has a length of -a- 318.9 mm!
