Carry out check measurement from determining dimensions -a- and -b-.
Deviations from measurements must not be more than 0.5 mm.

Secure nut.

Check rear final drive oil level and if necessary top onto lower edge of filler hole.
Gear oil specification.

If position of drive shaft to drive shaft flange was marked before removal, reinstall drive shaft in same position. See: Drive/Propeller Shafts,

If marks are present on drive shaft, determine radial run-out at drive shaft flange. See: Testing and Inspection

Install drive shaft to rear final drive. See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair
