Coding control unit

◆ All functions that have so far been carried out with V.A.G 1551 can now also be carried out with the tester VAS 5051.
◆ Warning lamps for ABS -K47- and for brake system -K118- flash when control unit is coded with 00000. An entry is not set in the fault memory.
◆ The control unit -J104- must be recoded if the vehicle relevant coding is not displayed or the control unit has been renewed.

Coding is only possible after the workshop code (WSC) has been entered into V.A.G 1551 or VAS 5051.

Work sequence

‒ Connect fault reader V.A.G 1551 and select (address word 03) "Brake electronics" with ignition switched on;
