Removal
Removal
–  Remove the upper mechanical distribution cover.
   
–  Turn the crankshaft until the camshaft gear reaches the TDC marking for cylinder 1. The camshaft gear marking must be aligned with the -arrow- on the mechanic distribution front cover.
–  Completely remove the engine cushion and support → Chapter.
–  Loosen the tensioning pulley and remove the timing belt from the camshaft gear.
–  Turn the crankshaft slightly in counterclockwise direction.

–  Remove the camshaft gear. To unscrew the screw, block the camshaft gear with the Wrench -3415-.
–  Remove camshaft key.
–  Install the fastening screw for the camshaft gear until the stop on the shaft.
–  Turn the inner part of the Puller -2085- two turns (around 3 mm) from the external part, and lock with the knurled bolt.

–  Lubricate the threaded head of the Puller -2085-, and place it with the strongest possible pressure on the seal.
–  Loosen the knurled screw and turn the inner part against the crankshaft until the seal is extracted.
–  Fasten the Puller -2085- in a vise, by the flat faces, and remove the seal with pliers.
