–  Clean the sealing surfaces. They must be free from oil and grease.
   
–  Apply Engine silicone sealant -D 176 404 A2-, as illustrated, onto the crankcase clean sealing surface (the illustration shows the position of the cord of Engine silicone sealant -D 176 404 A2- on the engine block).
–  Install the crankcase immediately and tighten all the screws by hand.
–  Tightening torques for the screws: 15 Nm.
–  Tighten crankcase/transmission screws to 45 Nm.
