Remove drive flange from output shaft.

Use drift to undo nut locking tabs.

Remove nut. Use special tool 9995149 as counterhold. Remove drive flange.

Use special tool 999 5304 if flange is seized on shaft.

On later versions, two washers are installed between flange and housing. Remove and keep for reinstallation.

Remove 0-ring from flange.

Remove housing bolts (six).

Remove housing.
-
Pry off housing using two screwdrivers inserted behind lugs. Remove housing.

Remove torque strut from housing.
-
Remove seal. Pry out seal with suitable tool.

Remove bearing snap ring.
