MDX V6-3.7L (2007)

DIAGNOSIS
1. Connect the HDS to the vehicle's DLC, and check for DTCs.
Is SHS DTC 31-1x or 31-2x indicated?
Yes - Go to step 2.
No - This service bulletin does not apply. If any other DTCs were found, troubleshoot them as needed.
2. Remove the driver's seat, then inspect the SRS wire harness under the seat.
Is the wire harness OK?
Yes - Go to step 3.
No - Go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
3. Troubleshoot the indicated SRS DTC.
NOTE:
Don't reinstall the driver's seat until after you determine the cause of the DTC. When the driver's seat is reinstalled, don't forget these items:

Make sure to reconnect the power seat connector and the side airbag connector.

Apply Hondalock 2 Thread lock to the seat bolts, then reinstall the bolts, and torque them to 47 N.m (35 lb-ft).
