REVISION SUMMARY
*^ Under PROBABLE CAUSE and CORRECTIVE ACTION, the latch assembly bumper was added as a possible reason for the noise.

Under REPAIR PROCEDURE, steps 5 and 6 were added to repair the latch assembly bumper.*
SYMPTOM
The left rear seat creaks or rattles when driving the vehicle over rough roads at low speeds.
PROBABLE CAUSE
*The rear seat latch striker is not centered in the latch assembly, or the hard rubber bumper in the latch assembly is shifting in its housing.*
CORRECTIVE ACTION
*Slightly bend the latch striker to center it in the latch assembly, and pinch the rubber bumper housing to eliminate the shifting of the bumper.*

Test-drive the vehicle, and confirm the client's complaint. Then, fold down the left rear seat-back, and recheck to see if the noise goes away.
Does the noise go away when the seat-back is folded down?
Yes - Go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
No - This service bulletin does not apply. Continue with normal troubleshooting procedures.
