NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

Take care not to bend or scratch the trim or the panels.
1. Remove these items:

Tailgate weatherstrip, as needed See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk / Liftgate Weatherstrip/Service and Repair

Rear door opening seal, as needed See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair

Rear door sill trim See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair

Rear trim panel See: Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Cargo Area

Cargo area floor See: Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Cargo Area

Seat side bolster See: Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Removal/Installation

Cargo area lid See: Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Cargo Area
2. Remove the hook (A) of the cover from the pin (B) of the tailgate each side trim, then pull out the cargo area cover (C) to release the locks (D) and
remove the cover.
3. Pry out the cover (A) and remove the screw (B), then remove the cargo hook (C) (two places).
