Inspect the electrical leads that go from the connector to the voice coil. The leads and adhesive should be firmly attached at the voice coil.

If either electrical lead has come loose at the voice coil, or the lead/adhesive is starting to pull away from the voice coil, replace both rear
speakers.

If the electrical leads are still firmly connected, investigate other causes for the problem (connectors, harnesses, grounding, etc).
