NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the carpet.
-
Be careful not to damage the dashboard or other interior trim pieces.
-
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
-
When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
1. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor from the seat, and remove the seat mounting bolts See: Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat
Removal/Installation.
2. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes
before beginning work.
3. Remove these items:

Kick panels, both sides See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair
-
B-pillar lower trims, both sides See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Pillar Trim/Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Pillar Areas

Front seats, both sides See: Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Removal/Installation
-
Rear seat cushion See: Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Removal/Installation
-
Center console See: Console/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Center Console Removal/Installation
-
Steering joint cover See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Steering Column Removal/Installation
4. Remove the footrest (A) by pulling it to detach the clips.
5. Remove the carpet (A).
1. Detach the clips fastening the carpet to both door sill areas.
