Side Airbag Replacement
NOTE: If replacing the side airbag after deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment See: Service and Repair for a
complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes
before starting work.
2. Remove the front seat See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Removal/Installation.
3. Detach the clips (A) and harness holder (B) of side airbag harness from the seat cushion frame.
4. Remove the front seat back panel See: Body and Frame/Seats/Seat Cover/Service and Repair/Front Seat-Back Cover Replacement.
5. Turn over the seat-back cover/pad as needed See: Body and Frame/Seats/Seat Cover/Service and Repair/Front Seat-Back Cover Replacement.
6. Release the airbag attachment wire B (A) from the seat-back frame (B).
