When the brake pedal is pressed with the ignition ON, the brake lights do not work and this fault is signalled by the "lights failure" warning light

2	CHECK STOP LIGHTS ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT Check, in order: stop lights fuse (services) connections between junction unit and brake pedal switch connections between brake pedal switch and rev counter connections between rev counter and bulbs bulbs earth (Wiring diagram E2021 STOP LIGHT ).	OK	Move onto step 3
		Component defective	Replace the component involved (if a fuse is involved, search for the cause of the problem) End of diagnosis
		Connections broken	Restore the connections End of diagnosis
3	BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH CHECK Check that the brake pedal switch is fitted correctly and working (Wiring diagram E2021 STOP LIGHT ).	OK	Move onto step 4
