Firstly, check the correct closing and alignment with the surrounding surfaces (wings and roof) of the tailgate and the correct fixing of the radio phone aerial, if fitted, and the spoiler.

Check the wind noise comes from the rear by carrying out the test for preliminary location of wind noise See Test 7010A Location of rear door wind noises

• See the fault diagnosis for locating the area.

Check the tail lights and, in particular, check:

• the alignment of the tail lights with the tailgate
• the correct matching between the tailgate and the housing trim
• the correct fitting/matching of the rear wheel arch

• Refit the exterior rear light clusters correctly (Op. 5540A56 )

• Refit the interior tail-lights correctly (Op. 5540A56 )

• Restore the correct fitting/alignment of the components involved

Check the seal of the rearscreen sealant by carrying out a test:

• See Test 7035A Fixed window glass (windshield and rear window) infiltration absence test

• Renew the sealant, following the instructions given in the test in question

Check that the roof rack and the bolt covers are correctly fixed

• Refit the roof rack correctly

• Repositin the bolt covers correctly

Check the perimeter of the sealant for the third side windows: See Test 7035A Fixed window glass (windshield and rear window) infiltration absence test

• Renew the sealant following the instructions for the test in question
