WIND NOISE FROM THE REAR AREA

With the car in motion, a noise is heard coming from the rear of the passenger compartment.

	Firstly, check the boot is properly closed and ensure any external aerial is properly secured. Check the wind noise comes from the rear by carrying out the test for preliminary location of wind noise	Continue to Step 1	The wind noise comes from the front dooor	Continue according to the instructions in See table See table T01 WIND NOISE FROM THE FRONT DOORS
			The wind noise is coming from the area of the bonnet	Continue according to the instructions in See table See table T05 BONNET WIND NOISE

			The noise is coming from the lower area of the passenger compartment	Continue according to the instructions in See table See table T10 PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WIND NOISE, LOWER AREA / (UNDERBODY)
1	REAR LIGHT CLUSTERS CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the rear light clusters. In particular, ascertain: Alignment between rear light clusters and wing or boot That the light clusters are correctly fitted	Continue to Step 2	Left rear light cluster fitting irregularities	Refit the exterior rear light clusters correctly Op. Op. 5540A60 LEFT OUTSIDE REAR LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
		Continue to Step 2	Right rear light cluster fitting irregularities	Refit the exterior rear light clusters correctly Op. Op. 5540A62 RIGHT OUTSIDE REAR LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
2	REARSCREEN CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the rear window weather strip (there should be no wrinkles or kinks)	Continue to Step 3	Weather strip incorrectly fitted	Renew and, if necessary, replace the window Op. 7035B26
3	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis
