Air Door Actuator / Motor: Service and Repair
Temperature Regulator Flap Motor, Replacement

1. Remove center section of instrument panel.
2. Remove footwell outlets.
3. Remove screws A.
4. Disconnect linkage B.
5. Disconnect adjustment motor harness connector at the 5-pin connector (left, on the heater).
6. Pull out wiring (over the heater).
7. Install wiring harness.

NOTE:  When installing, route wiring (5-pin connector) for the new adjustment motor using the harness clip in front of the heater making sure there is
sufficient clearance for the heater lever.

8. Attach linkage B.
9. Attach 3 screws A.

10. Adjust potentiometer:

a. Switch ignition ON, set A/C control head temperature to HI, select diagnosis channel 8. Approximately 9-14 is displayed, adjust to display

value: 12.

Feedback Potentiometer

b. Turn screwdriver to adjust value:

-

A to increase value.

-

B to decrease value.

c. When adjustment value is correct, set A/C control head temperature to LO. Display code must be less than 245.
d. If display code is more than 245, set A/C control head temperature to HI. Re-adjust feedback potentiometer to a lower value, but not less than

9.

e. Set A/C control head temperature to LO, re-check display. Display code must be less than 245. If not, return to step d.

11. Install temperature control flap adjusting motor.
12. Install footspace outlets.
13. Install center section of instrument panel.
