Removing and installing pedal cluster / mounting bracket
Removing and installing pedal cluster / mounting bracket
Removing
–  Remove covers → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
–  Remove steering column → Rep. gr.48.
–  Unplug connector from accelerator position sender.
–  Separate brake pedal from brake servo → Chapter.
   
–  Unscrew all hexagon nuts -arrows- from pedal cluster.
–  Remove pedal cluster from vehicle.
Installing
Renew nuts
–  Fit mounting bracket on studs in vehicle.
  Note
t  When fitting the mounting bracket, make sure the wiring for the accelerator position sender remains free and is not trapped.
t  Make sure the mounting bracket is seated on all the studs.
  N46-10189
–  Fit all nuts -arrows- on studs and tighten lightly.
–  Tighten all nuts -arrows- to specified torque.
–  Attach connector for accelerator position sender.
–  Install steering column → Rep. gr.48.
–  Connect brake pedal to brake servo → Chapter.
–  Install covers → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
  Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is driven on the road.
