Sensor wire in steering gear housing is equipped with a locking mechanism - arrow -for spiral spring. Make sure that spiral spring is not
twisted when removing sensor wire.

Disconnect harness connector of sensor wire at steering pinion.

Press terminal off spiral spring housing, using screwdriver (blade width 3 mm), as shown in illustration.

Mark position of steering pinion to steering gear housing.

Pull out steering pinion with steering torque sensor out of steering gear housing. Secure spiral spring to avoid turning, using adhesive tape or
similar.
