Removing and installing automatic gearbox control unitJ217
Removing and installing automatic gearbox control unit -J217-
   
Removing
–  Remove wiper arms -1- → Rep. Gr.92.
–  Pull off seal -2- for plenum chamber cover.
–  Raise plenum chamber cover -3- until it is possible to disconnect washer fluid hose going to washer jets.
–  If fitted, unplug electrical connector at washer jets.
  Caution
Risk of damage to plenum chamber cover.
Apply a small quantity of soap solution to transition between windscreen and plenum chamber cover. Then, starting at edge of windscreen, pull plenum chamber cover vertically up and out of retainer at windscreen.
–  Pull off plenum chamber cover.

–  Switch off ignition, release multi-pin connector in direction of -arrow- and unplug from automatic gearbox control unit -J217-.

–  Loosen bolts -arrows- and pull off automatic gearbox control unit -J217-.
Installing
The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following points:
–  Secure automatic gearbox control unit -J217-.

–  Allow guides -1- and -2- at multi-pin connector to slide into pins of control unit and secure connector in direction of -arrow-.
–  Install wiper arms and adjust → Rep. Gr.92.
