Removing

• ‒ Drain coolant .
• ‒ → Remove coolant hose from connector 2.
• ‒ Unscrew bolts -1- remove connection together with O-ring -3- and coolant thermostat -4-.
• ‒ Turn coolant thermostat 1/4 turn (90°) to the left and remove from connection.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

• ‒ Clean and smooth down sealing surface for O- ring as required.
• ‒ Insert coolant thermostat.
• ‒ Installation position: Cross-piece on thermostat should be vertical.
• ‒ Moisten new O ring with coolant G 012 A8 D.
• ‒ Top up coolant => Page 19-7.

Tightening torque

Check coolant thermostat

• ‒ Heat thermostat in water bath.
