t  This illustration shows the layout of the metering pump for vehicles with petrol engine and front-wheel drive (vehicles with diesel engine are not fitted with a fuel filter at this location).
t  On vehicles with front-wheel drive, metering pump -A- is clipped into bracket -B-. Bracket is engaged in mounting which is attached to fuel tank.

t  On vehicles with four-wheel drive, metering pump -A- is secured in rubber element -B-. Rubber element -B- is engaged in mounting which is attached to fuel tank -C-.
t  The procedures for removing and installing the metering pump are fundamentally the same for both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles; therefore only the procedures for vehicles with front-wheel drive are described here.
