Adapting hand-held transmitter for remote control in auxiliary heater control unit J364
Adapting hand-held transmitter for remote control in auxiliary heater control unit -J364-
  Note
t  Remote control should be kept vertical (transmission aerial upwards) whilst pressing buttons.
t  Currently a maximum of 3 remote controls can be adapted in the remote control receiver for auxiliary heater -R64- via the “Basic setting” function. If a fourth remote control is adapted, the first remote control to be adapted is deleted → Guided Fault Finding function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
t  The remote control is adapted in the remote control receiver for auxiliary heater -R64-; if the remote control receiver is renewed, all existing hand-held transmitters for remote control must be re-adapted one after the other.
t  Adapt the hand-held transmitter for auxiliary heater remote control in the “Basic setting” function of the auxiliary heater control unit -J364- in the remote control receiver for auxiliary heater -R64- → Guided Fault Finding function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
t  On vehicles with “remote control for auxiliary heater” as optional extra and an auxiliary heater with auxiliary heater control unit -J364- with hardware/software number up to “0039”, there may be problems under unfavourable ambient conditions with remote control for auxiliary heater → Guided Fault Finding function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
