Removing wiring harness with 8-pin connector
  Caution
Follow steps required when disconnecting battery → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.27.
–  Press release tab -arrow- and remove cover -1- over battery.

–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth wire -arrow- at battery.
–  Remove oil pan → Chapter.
–  Remove ATF strainer → Chapter.
–  Remove valve body → Chapter

When gearbox is installed:
–  Detach 8-pin connector -B- from gearbox connector.

All models:
–  Remove bolt securing 8-pin connector to outside of gearbox housing.
–  Pull connector out of gearbox housing and carefully guide wiring harness -C- out behind.
Installing wiring harness with 8-pin connector
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Renew O-ring on connector.
–  Lubricate O-ring lightly with ATF.
–  Press connector with O-ring fitted into gearbox as far as it will go.
