Renewing flange shaft oil seal (right-side) at bevel box (outer seal)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Thrust piece -T10049-

t	Sealing grease → Electronic parts catalogue

Procedure

Note

t	The oil seal can be renewed with the gearbox installed.

t	→ Chapter „Repair instructions“.

t	→ Chapter „Rules for cleanliness when working on the gearbox“.

–	Remove flange shaft (right-side) → Chapter.

–	Pry out flange shaft oil seal using assembly lever.

–	Drive in new oil seal as far as stop using thrust piece -T10049-.

–	Pack space between sealing lip and dust lip -arrow- half full with sealing grease → Electronic parts catalogue.

–	Install flange shaft (right-side) → Chapter.

–	→ Chapter „Checking and topping up oil level in bevel box“.
