Removing and installing cylinder head cover Removing Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Puller -T40039-

–  Pull off engine cover panel -arrows-.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.

–  Remove bolts -1-. –  Unplug electrical connectors -2- from ignition coils and move wiring clear.

–  Remove ignition coils with output stages -2- using puller -T40039-.

–  Disconnect ACF pipe from cylinder head cover -1-. –  Detach valve housing from cylinder head cover -arrow-.

–  Unscrew crankcase breather line from turbocharger -1-. –  Disconnect ACF line going to turbocharger from cylinder head cover -2-. –  Loosen cylinder head cover working from outside to inside. –  Remove cylinder head cover. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Cylinder head - exploded view“ → Chapter „Toothed belt drive - exploded view“   Note Renew cylinder head cover gaskets if damaged. –  Tightening sequence → Fig. –  Make sure toothed belt cover (top) is correctly fitted.
