Overview

• Upper part of cover
• ◆ with integrated switch for Tiptronic -F189
• ◆ Removing and installing Tiptronic switch -F189-

Dismantling

• ‒ Remove shift mechanism cover

• ‒ → Carefully prise out retaining tabs -arrows-.

Note:

It is necessary to replace the upper part of the cover if the retaining tabs are damaged =>Item 37-26.

→ Do not prise out the four retaining tabs that are visible from above -arrow B-, as otherwise the printed circuit could be destroyed. In addition, the chrome-plated upper part is securely bonded to the upper part of the cover.

• ‒ Remove lower part of cover -3- and screen -2-.

Assembling

• ‒ Lay screen -2- into upper part of cover, installation position as per diagram.

Magnets -C- and -D- must be securely fixed onto the screen, if necessary replace the screen.

• ‒ Carefully clip lower part of cover -3- into upper part of cover -1-.

Replace upper part of cover if retaining tabs -A- or -B- are damaged.
