Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-0113
–  Remove cover -1- at right of engine compartment.
  A10-1030
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Disengage activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80--item 1- at air duct.
–  Remove air duct -2-.
  A10-0900
–  Disconnect hose -arrow- from secondary air connecting pipe.

Before removing, mark direction of rotation of poly V-belt with chalk or felt-tipped pen. If the belt runs in the opposite direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage.
–  Swivel tensioner in -direction of arrow- with ring spanner (17 mm) to slacken off poly V-belt.
–  Lock tensioner by inserting locking pin -3204- into locating holes -arrows-.
–  Remove poly V-belt.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
  A15-0062
–  Start by fitting poly V-belt onto crankshaft pulley. Then push belt onto tensioning roller.

1 - Alternator
2 - Poly V-belt
3 - Power steering pump
4 - Air conditioner compressor
5 - Crankshaft
6 - Tensioning roller
  Note
When installing poly V-belt, make sure it is properly seated on pulleys.
–  Start engine and check that belt runs properly.
