| Carefully pull engine cover panels away from retaining pins, one after the other. |

| Slacken hose clip on vacuum hose. |
Caution | Take care not to damage the vacuum hose. The vacuum hose must be renewed if it is damaged. |

| Detach vacuum hose from vacuum pump. |
| –
| Remove all bolts from sealing flange of vacuum pump. |
| –
| Pull vacuum pump out of its mounting. |
Note | Ensure that seal is seated correctly. |

| Turn drive lugs of vacuum pump so they engage in slots in camshaft when vacuum pump is installed. |
| –
| Fit vacuum pump in position. |
| –
| Ensure that seal is seated correctly. |
| –
| Fit all bolts to sealing flange of vacuum pump and tighten → Item. |
| –
| Slide new hose clip onto vacuum hose. |
| –
| Slide vacuum hose onto connection on vacuum pump. |
| –
| Use suitable pliers to tighten hose clip on connection of vacuum pump. |
| –
| Carefully fit engine cover panels into retaining pins, one after the other. |
