Renewing ball bearing for input shaft

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Thrust plate -VW 401-

t	Thrust plate -VW 402-

t	Press tool -VW 412-

t	Tube -VW 415 A-

t	Fitting tool -3046-

Removing –  Remove dual clutch -1- → Chapter.

–  Remove circlip -arrow- from detached clutch cover.

–  Press out ball bearing for dual clutch.

Installing Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:   Note Renew O-ring and circlips. –  Press in ball bearing for dual clutch as far as stop. l  Position tube -VW 415 A- with thin collar facing upwards.

–  Install new circlip -arrow- for ball bearing. –  Clean sealing surface on clutch cover.
