Removing and installing engine oil cooler
Removing
–  Remove noise insulation → Rep. gr.66.
   
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-11050
–  Open hose clips -arrows- and detach air hose.
  A21-10302
–  Unscrew sealing cap -3- and take out oil filter element.
  A17-10425
–  Remove bolt -1- and swivel pump for exhaust gas recirculation cooler -V400- to the side.
  WARNING
Hot steam/hot coolant can escape - risk of scalding.
The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot.
Cover filler cap on coolant expansion tank with a cloth and open carefully to dissipate pressure.

–  Clamp off coolant hoses with hose clamps up to 25 mm -3094- as shown in illustration.
–  Disconnect coolant hoses -1-.
–  Unscrew sealing cap -2- and take out engine oil cooler -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order. Note the following:
Tightening torques → Chapter „Oil filter bracket and engine oil cooler - exploded view“
–  Fill up with coolant → Chapter.
