Removing and installing multimedia system operating unitE380
Removing and installing multimedia system operating unit -E380-
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal wedge -3409-
–  Switch off all electrical equipment.
Removing
Vehicles with automatic gearbox:
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Shift selector lever to „S“ position.
–  Switch off ignition.
All vehicles:
–  Remove ignition key.

The multimedia system operating unit -E380- is secured in the centre console -arrows- with springs -1-.
  A91-11010
–  Remove air conditioner operating unit -1- → Air conditioning system; Rep. gr.87 and fold boot -2- up and over gear lever.
–  Use removal wedge -3409- to release springs -arrows- and pry multimedia system operating unit -E380--3- upwards out of centre console.
Note short lengths of wires to multimedia system operating unit -E380-, electromechanical parking brake button -E538- and entry and start authorisation button -E408-.
–  Release and unplug connectors on reverse side of multimedia system operating unit -E380-.
Remove electromechanical parking brake button -E538- and entry and start authorisation button -E408- → Electrical system; Rep. gr.96.
Installing
–  Install in reverse sequence of removal.
