Pin assignment at fuel gauge sender -G-

–	Unplug 5-pin connector at sealing flange of fuel tank; Procedure → Rep. gr.20.

Assignment of 5-pin connector at fuel gauge sender -G-

1 -	Switched positive for fuel system pressurisation pump -G6-

2 -	Wiring between fuel gauge sender -G- and instrument cluster (sender earth) - Pin 5

3 -	Wiring between fuel gauge sender -G- and instrument cluster (fuel gauge) - Pin 7

4 -	Wiring between fuel gauge sender -G- and instrument cluster (fuel gauge) - Pin 6

5 -	Earth for fuel system pressurisation pump -G6-

Note

On vehicles with FSI or TFSI engine, pins -2, 3 and 4- are looped through the fuel pump control unit -J538-.
