Remove bracket for sound insulation below ATF cooler.

^

Mark installation position of transmission crossmember to body.

^

Remove securing bolts for transmission mountings left -1- and right -2- to crossmember.

^

Unbolt transmission crossmember from body (arrows).

^

Place crossmember on front exhaust pipes or remove if necessary.

^

Carefully lower engine and transmission at rear while observing engine compartment to prevent any damage due to contact.

Note: The front exhaust pipes must not be loosened at the transmission and pre-catalytic converters.

Remove 3 bolts each for left-side and right-side transmission supports (only right-side shown in illustration) with transmission mountings from
transmission (arrows).
-A- = Hex key

Note: In order to reach all retaining bolts for the transmission supports at the transmission, press the transmission down at the rear if necessary.
Take note of selector lever cable when doing so.
