Exhaust camshaft adjuster

‹› For cylinder bank 1 (right) Identification: B1 / Front side made of plastic

‹› For cylinder bank 2 (left) Identification: B2 / Front side made of plastic

‹› Removing and installing => [ Camshaft Adjuster ] See: Variable Valve Timing Actuator/Service and Repair

60 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4 turn)

‹› Replace

‹› There must be no oil on the contact surfaces between camshaft adjuster and camshaft as well as between bolt head and camshaft adjuster

‹› Counter-hold camshaft using 32 mm open-end wrench for loosening and tightening

Intake camshaft adjuster

‹› For cylinder bank 1 (right) Identification: B1 / A1

‹› For cylinder bank 2 (left) Identification: B2 / A2
