Retaining Plate With Right Center Vent Motor V111 And Right Side Vent Motor V300, Removing And Installing 

NOTE: 

-

On vehicles with left-side steering, only present on "Comfort" version A/C system

-

On vehicles with "Basic" version A/C system, flaps for left and right side vents as well as flaps for left and right center vents are operated by Left
Side Vent Motor V299 (left and right flaps are connected to each other via the shaft respectively, both shafts are connected to a lever).

Removing 

-

Switch ignition on

-

Bring control motors into service position, perform basic setting of A/C system (display group "005") to do this Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and
Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

-

As soon as control motors are located in service position, switch ignition off Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the
"Guided Fault Finding" function.

NOTE:  Control motors can only be re-installed in the service position after removal.

Remove instrument panel.

-

Remove retaining plate with Left Temperature Flap Motor V158 (Right Temperature Flap Motor V159) and Right Footwell Flap Motor V109
(Left Footwell Flap Motor V108).

Remove bolts - A -.

NOTE: 
-

Bolts - C - are not loosened or removed to remove retaining plate - B -, they are used to guide the retaining plate.

-

Retaining plate - B - can then only be removed and installed with instrument panel installed when the bolts - C - are not tightened too tightly.
Since on the other hand the connection of the lever on the control motors to the levers on the flaps cannot be checked with the instrument panel
installed, it makes sense to remove the instrument panel and remove and install the control motors with the retaining plate installed, despite the
great amount of work involved to remove and install the installed control motor.

-

Pull out retaining plate - B - with control motors downward.

-

Mark connectors - D - and - E - (risk of interchange) and disconnect them.
