Check position of toothed gear at flap - F -, the first tooth must still be completely visible (the first tooth gap is covered halfway by edge of
opening - G -) and position of toothed gear at control motor - D - (it must be at the stop as depicted).

Install control motor - C -.

Install bolts - A -.

Connect connector - B - to control motor - C -.

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and of Rear A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265 and erase
DTCs displayed if necessary. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Perform basic setting (and output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) if necessary) on the A/C system. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information
System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Check movement of flap - A - e.g. during basic setting (or output Diagnostic Test Mode - DTM-), it must close and open completely.

Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.
