To discharge static, touch vehicle ground with hand (without glove).

Disconnect electrical connector - 4 - on transmission by turning screw connection counterclockwise.
‹› Ignore items - 1, 2, 3 -.

Place oil collection and extraction device (VAG 1782) under transmission.
