Procedure:

Case 1. 
If the mobile phone is a Motorola V50 purchased on the open market, the customer should
be advised that his Motorola V50 is not approved for use in conjunction with a vehicle.

For information concerning a software upgrade for Motorola V50 mobile phone (at
customer's expense), 
please refer to SI 84 11 01 (773)

Case 2. 
In case of complaint concerning a Motorola V50 with BMW software, the customer should
be advised that such deviations from standard operation may occur as a result of the
programming and that there is no remedy at present - replacing the part will not rectify the
problem!

This Service Iformation bulletin will be updated as soon as remedial actions are available.
