M43TU B19 piston diameter 85 mm
Lightly coat pistons and piston rings with oil. Install piston with
special tool 11 6 261 from special tool kit 11 6 260 so that
arrow on piston points to camshaft drive.
Caution!
Risk of damage to piston rings.
Press in piston with finger force only (do not knock in!).
M43 B16 / B18 piston diameter 84 mm
Lightly coat pistons and piston rings with oil.
Align contact points of piston rings (offset at approx. 120
°
, but not
over piston pin lug).
Press together piston rings with special tool 11 2 260.
Install piston so that arrow on piston points to camshaft drive.
The entire circumference of the tightening strap must be flush with
the crankcase.
Caution!
Risk of damage to piston rings.
Press in piston with finger force only (do not knock in!).
Caution!
Be careful not to damage the oil spray nozzles for cooling the
pistons when installing the pistons.
Attach crankpin to connecting rod.
Remove special tool 11 2 050.
