Removing and installing or replacing
hydraulic chain tensioner (M43 / M43TU)
Remove spark plugs,
refer to 12 12 011.
Remove timing case cover at bottom,
refer to 11 14 110.
Press back bow cover until the groove in the hydraulic piston and
the locking bore are aligned in one line.
Lock hydraulic chain tensioner with special tool 11 4 120.
Caution!
New components are fitted with transportation locks.
Remove special tool 11 4 120 or transportation locking device only
after installation of hydraulic chain tensioner.
