3 Series E46 316i (M43TU) SAL
Unfasten remaining two chain wheel screws.
Note:
Fit screws until chain wheel can be rotated on camshaft.
Align camshaft until special tool 11 3 190 locates on cylinder
head without gap.
Tighten top screws.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 31 3AZ.
Remove special tool 11 3 190 from cylinder head.
Remove special tool 11 2 300 from locating bore in engine
block.
Rotate engine at central bolt in direction of rotation until the
camshaft on the fourth cylinder is at firing TDC.
Tighten down remaining screws on chain wheel.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 31 3AZ.
Assemble engine.
