Adjusting camshaft timing (M43TU)

(reference to Job No. 11 31 005)

Note:

Before carrying out adjustments, it is essential to check the
camshaft timing again, 

refer to 11 31 005.

Remove special tool 11 3 190 from cylinder head.

Remove special tool 11 2 300 from locating bore in engine
block.

Rotate engine at central bolt in direction of rotation until the
camshaft on the fourth cylinder is at firing TDC.

Unfasten 2 screws on chain wheel.

Rotate engine at central bolt in direction of rotation until the
camshaft on the fourth cylinder is at firing TDC.

Secure crankshaft in firing TDC position with special tool
11 2 300.

Caution!

Removing special tool prior to operating engine.
