Functions which are relevant to safety or official approval are not included in the "Car and
Key Memory". These are performed in the programs "Encoding Body/Suspension" and
"Programming Drive Train".
Summary:

The "Car Memory" can be used to allocate individual settings to the vehicle, regardless
of the key used. These settings are made in the dealership with DIS or MoDiC.

The "Key Memory" can be used to allocate individual settings to a specific key with
remote control. These settings are also made in the dealership with DIS or MoDiC.

Settings in the "seat/mirror memory" and the "heating / air conditioning / ventilation"
can be changed individually by the customer. Any changes are automatically allocated
to the key with remote control used and are stored in the control unit.

Procedure:
Operating sequence for programming "Car and Key Memory" functions
DIS or MoDiC with up-to-date software (Diagnosis CD V13 or higher) must be loaded.
Please note:
CD V 13 can only be installed on DIS by expanding the hard drive to
8.4 GByte. It is no longer possible to operate CD V13 with the old hard drive.
The "Car and Key Memory" program cannot be run with MoDiC I or II.
Before programming functions with the "Car and Key Memory" program, the fault memory
should be interrogated with a "Short test" - any faults stored should first be rectified via
diagnosis. Then clear the fault memory using "Quick delete". No faults are to be stored in
the control units.
The battery must be sufficiently charged. Connect up a battery charger before commencing
programming. The vehicle's battery voltage is displayed in the program during the
programming procedure.
