5 Series E34 525td (M51) TOUR
Caution!
On injection pump sprockets with mark 4 (for 4-cylinder)
and 6 (for 6-cylinder), the copper-plated external link on the
chain must be aligned with mark 6.
Slide both sprocket wheels with fitted chains to crankshaft and
injection pump shaft.
Note:
The mark on the chain wheel on the injection pump must point
upwards. If not, rotate crankshaft through another complete
turn.
(Ratio of crankshaft : injection pump = 2 : 1)
Caution!
Marking is only visible until cylinder head is fitted.
If crankshaft has to be rotated while cylinder head is fitted,
remove camshaft first.
Tighten sprocket wheel onto injection pump shaft.
Tightening torque,
