5 Series E34 525td (M51) TOUR
Switch on ignition the bridge terminals 30 and 87 on relay carrier
with special tool 61 3 050.
Actuate tool until fuel emerges at the filter.
Caution!
Catch fuel in a suitable container.
Installation note:
Reconnect pipe only with sealing rings in perfect condition.
Coat sealing rings with acid-free grease.
Allow clip to engage.
Bleeding the injection pump:
Turn seal plug (1) two complete turns.
Turn engine on starter motor until fuel starts to emerge.
Caution!
Catch fuel in a suitable container.
Tighten seal plug back down.
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 13 51 1AZ
Bleeding the injection lines:
Removing intake air manifold,
refer to 11 61 050
