Bleeding fuel system (M51, M41)
It is not normally necessary to bleed the fuel system
because the fuel delivery pump in ignition setting "2"
develops positive pressure in the delivery line.
If the fuel system is completely empty or has been drained for an
extended period:
Depress clip (if necessary withdraw completely) and pull fuel line
(3) after filter.
Caution!
Catch fuel in a suitable container.
Install special tool 16 1 300 between pipe (3) and filter housing.
Fit a fuel hose to threaded nipple and insert one end in a suitable
receptacle to catch fuel.
Lift cover on relay box and pull out relay (2) for fuel pump.
