Removing and installing or removing torque
converter (A5S 310Z)
Remove transmission, refer to 24 00 026
Use special tool 24 4 000 (assembly handles) to carefully
remove torque converter from primary pump.
Caution!
Escaping ATF.
The torque converter cannot be cleaned using conventional
cleaning materials and must be replaced if damaged.
Note:
Note designation of the torque converter.
Carefully guide openings on converter into primary pump by
turning slightly. For this, use special tool 24 4 000 (assembly
handles).
Caution!
Make sure converter bearings and seal are not damaged
while guiding in. Insert torque converter as far as stop.
